That's the same problem going on now with this one and the reason my interest is already going down the shitter. I updated my last post too, in case that was missed.

Didn't EA have like 30 seasons? It ran for 5 years? 6 seasons a year?

We should just make a rival sim site

We could, but we'd need a simmer lol but yeah, I don't know. I don't really know if I even care enough about this new NHL sim site to ever do it again. So much "we need members" and "fuck you" from everyone. I mean, that shit still goes on here quite a bit, but at least it's a driving force where it could be two or three people and still be fun (minus the shit-talking over trying to make the site enjoyable that happens on a day to day basis). Trying to make it live for 30 teams, when only like 10 people are REALLY into it, it's just not the same. It's seen its day in the sun. There's already a million complaints on beastmode over their trade evaluations that bring back that same anxiety I had trying to appease ignorant 14 year olds over why Bure wasn't God, and they don't need to hoard him.

If there were a site that had a limited amount of teams (say, max 20 teams, kinda like ManNHL 1980), and one huge ass fantasy draft to start off (everyone up for grabs in one big ass draft, then the cap would be determined afterwards), would that be something that would be more appealing, or would that be a bigger mess than previously?

That shit is relatively easy to do in UHS, but the actual simming aspect would annoy me. Quite honestly, the easiest fucking thing to do is to just literally make the sim site on uhs, and let people register as their teams on UHS, where you can send trade offers and shit, set your lines, all that jazz. All the things I wouldn't have to do. But again, it's one of those things where, IF we did it, and that's a big IF, we could actually have like multiple people going on there and doing everything collectively, rather than one person, which would make things a million times fucking easier.
But people only know proboards. And they don't like to go to multiple places. That sort of thing.
The only way I effectively made UHS work was to manipulate ratings in the system to match moderately real-life performances or at least exciting results, and then turned off the fucking injuries.
