Honestly, I feel like every single time I watch a foriegn-language flick from pre-1980, it's a Tarantino movie, or a heavy influence for a Tarantino film. The guy may very well be the master at plagiarising shit, but changing things JUST enough that no one sues him. Or no one notices because the stuff he rips off is from 1970s Asia, for example. It's getting silly though.

Lady Snowblood.
It's Kill Bill, from the look, sound, feel, tone, music, style. It's about a female sword master who is out hack-and-slashing her way to revenge. The style of blood-flow (spurty and gorey) to the zoom-in close-ups every time she encounters one of her enemeies, even down to the inclusion of dividing the film into chapters. To say it blurs the lines between "homage", "remake" and "plagiarism" is an understatement.

it's amazing in a way that the studios don't get upset, but then again, I guess if it's Asian studios than maybe thye just don't have the fire power of whomever Tarantino is fostered by and feel that the fuss isn't worth it. You can spend a fortune trying to sue.

I think it's the latter half. I would think that both Quentin, and whatever major studio produced his film on target, have so good of lawyers, that you could theoretically argue (parallel thinking) or some shit and do well in defending him.
Everything comes down to money.

Probably because plagarism is really difficult to fight. I would think if anyone cared to, though, Toho (the company that did Snowblood) should have the resources. They are epic and have been around since the 1930s. They brought you Gojira (Godzilla). Check our their epic movie list: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toho
