I don't have that much to say about this event other than it hit and miss, in terms of my expectations. I expected more good matches, with finishes. I expected the new ladies to really showcase some talent and get people excited about them and the division. I was wrong. They put on generally boring fights and sucked.
I was shocked out of my panties, however, with the fact that ManMMA fans LOVED this event. our PPV buy rate was near-record level, and the arena was sold out. The main event and main card got a 5 star rating from MMA review sites, and I think people will agree when I say the idea of a Cyborg-Kaufman rematch is AWESOME! Someone is going to get knocked out in that fight!
We've covered how Roy Nelson had ring rust, and Randy Couture is just rusty period. (get it...from being old...and rusty...and....nevermind). And, yeah. Overall, a success. I was concerned, for trues, that this would be our first non-sell-out event. But we NAILED it! Good work everyone. Especially Roy Nelson, without whom Burger King would go out of business.
Have 9 points in celebration of this monumental achievement!
