Wow! What a crazy fight, especially to open the card. Dillashaw dominated the piss out of Kawajiri for 4 rounds. Kawajiri was surviving for rounds 2,3 and 4. Then, out of NO WHERE, he completely destroyed Dillashaw in round 5, nearly ending the fight - but he ran out of time. Damage-wise, as you can see, he did more damage in one round than Dillashaw did in 4. 30 more seconds, and TJ would have been finished. So, because we use the full fight scoring system, the judges considered it a draw. I don't actually disagree in this case. Dillashaw dominated longer, but Kawajiri was closer to finishing the fight than Dillashaw was (despite the domination). Final health meters at the end of the fight are at like, 12% to 4%. So good, so close, I dig it.

Wow! What a crazy fight, especially to open the card. Dillashaw dominated the piss out of Kawajiri for 4 rounds. Kawajiri was surviving for rounds 2,3 and 4. Then, out of NO WHERE, he completely destroyed Dillashaw in round 5, nearly ending the fight - but he ran out of time. Damage-wise, as you can see, he did more damage in one round than Dillashaw did in 4. 30 more seconds, and TJ would have been finished. So, because we use the full fight scoring system, the judges considered it a draw. I don't actually disagree in this case. Dillashaw dominated longer, but Kawajiri was closer to finishing the fight than Dillashaw was (despite the domination). Final health meters at the end of the fight are at like, 12% to 4%. So good, so close, I dig it.
