That's brutal.. mostly that folks don't care.  Pretty shitty. I agree, in that I would rather a more decisive vote for 1 or 2 either way. But, looking at it more optimistically, it also means 5 people (the majority) will be happy with either one, equally. So that's a very good thing. Definitely better than a 6-6 vote with a heated debate and no real result with lots of people being annoyed, no? |

Sadly, to move forward with anything, we need results more than we need another heated discussion. Especially here and now. I might open the coaches draft as early as tomorrow, since it's going the draft route. No point in waiting, and it's not like we have 4 months off-season to take our time or anything.
Not to mention, you will notice people did not vote that they didn't care, they voted that they were "perfectly and equally happy with either of the above options". That's caring. Not voting at all, that I could see as not caring. But loudly and proudly declaring that you are perfectly happy with both options - that's love, man.

Although I picked on of the first two options, I actually agree with The Sandmen's decision to add the third option, because if someone likes both options and want's the majority to be happy, then they pick the third option stating that they like both options. I don't see it as a cop out whatsoever. I cop out would have been something like, "Click this one if you don't give a fuck about this poll," but as you can see, he didn't say that. |
