The 12-6 elbow rule is stupid. It's an elbow. If you allow elbows, the angle you use them at should be irrelevant. Particularly when you see Travis Browne's KOs of guys like Josh Barnett - same move, totally legal. Change the angle by about 10 degrees, and it's illegal? Silly as fuck.

That being said, this is a 12-6 to the back of the head, which is, and should still be, not legal haha. I used to like Paul Varlens. Said this here many times, but his loss to Marco Ruas was one of the turning points for me, where I realized how beautifully complex fighting can be. Watching a little dude hack a giant down with leg kicks, like a lunberjack cutting down a tree - masterful stuff.
