Pre-Warning
I'm not one to sit and spew life-story nonsense on the site as a means of justifying why I am behind in my work. There will, unfortunately, be some of that here and for that I apologize. I just think at this point it's good to give you guys a full idea of why things are delayed and help assure you I have not just lost interest or fucked off.
Reasons
The delays this week have been primarily caused by sick days or snow days. I have had people to take care of every day this week so far (including today) and most of last week as well. (Despite that, I am still going to get a card up today.)
Prior to this, I seem to have developed some sort of knee problem, which makes working on the computer quite painful after a little while. The last sim I did, I had to do in 3-4 parts, with 10-15 minute walking breaks in between. This complicates and slows down both simming and match-making quite dramatically.
I assume the weather will not stay brutal, and my sick/snow day delays will ease up soon. My knee is slowly getting better, and is no longer "constantly excruciating", but I will still need those breaks.
But none of this personal babble matters. I will get you your cards, and I will get you your sims. You do not have to worry. I'm still here, still all-in, and still very uncomfortable with these long delays and stretches of simmer inactivity.
What You Can Do
Keep posting, keep being active, keep talking, and keep pestering me. No one really sees this, but Rattlesnakes often messages me on Skype, bugging me about when a sim or card is coming. As much as that might sound like a pain in the ass, it actually helps. It makes me want to stay up the extra hour or two at night to get a card in, regardless of how the day went. It reminds me that people are still enthused, and the knee and time problems are worth it. The more active you are, the more active I force myself to be.
Thank you, and once again, I'm sorry I vented all over you. Soap, towels, and hand sanitizer will be provided at the exits.
