I never quit, but I was basically not allowed to haha never really truly wanted to leave though, but there's been some bumps in the road, and some good advice from my gentleman lover.

Part 6: "ManMMA? That's a stupid name. WTF?"The name ManMMA was a natural extension of our "brand" at the time of its launch. We had done several ManNHL sites, and, at one point, they were a bit popular. So since that was doing well, we felt it made sense to just extend the brand. Now, ironically, ManNHL has retired, and we are left with ManMMA. What is the story behind the "Man" part? I don't really know. Mike made it up one day when he created ManNHL 1.0. I remember thinking it was the STUPIDEST name for a hockey sim site ever. What i thought was stupid about it actually made it stand out. There were definitely no other "ManNHLs" around, so we were unique. The MAN in NHL actually did stand for something. I wrote down instructions to myself one day and it was like "MAN NHL Sim Site" MAN meant "make a new" and when I created the site, I didn't like that it didn't start with a capital M, so I capitalized the m. And then I saw that it spelled "Man NHL" and I laughed. Meant to just create a temp site to play with, and Justin and I jumped in and just sort of left it as it, embraced the stupid of it, and now it's legend. Carved into walls in caves forever. |

The Rocketmen - that is awesome, I never knew that. Also, the other interesting thing about ManNHL is you made it after I retired. I got too invested in one of the previous sim sites, it got deleted, then another one, then it died, and it was just too much effort to keep having sites die, so I was done with them. But I remember when you wanted to do ManNHL, I said I did not want to be a GM, but I wanted to be a part of it. That is when the PR position was born.

This is true. Is the story of our sim times on this site somewhere? I'd love to read through that again. We should copy and paste here and keep the stories going. If others have any neat sim-site related stories they want to share, I'd love to hear them. It's fascinating learning of other people's experiences.
