I cannot make project fighters who are averagely-upgraded beat legit fighters who are well-upgraded.
Also, xx - Team GAP, I feel like you should book a season. You have a really good understanding of the things you understand, and a good head on your shoulders, for seeing reason and logic when things make sense. But I feel like since you don't understand the mechanics of booking a season (you would have no reason to, you have not booked a season), and the effects big teams have on the whole league, you say things that you would not believe if you fully understood the impact all of these things have throughout the league.
2. Not sure what you mean exactly by "book a season". Do you mean the scheduling of fights? Or something else?
1) the A, B, C thing is to preserve the integrity of the GoaTs. So we don't have guys like Fedor, GSP, etc getting walloped by people like James Vick, or Shawn Jordan. If you upgrade right/well, you CAN make it so scrubs can beat the GOATs, but the ABC is to ensure that legends have an edge, as they should. I donno if you are suggesting we apply A, B, or C grades to new, non-GOAT scrubs, but if you are suggesting that, I could not be more against it.
2) Yes, scheduling the fights, but it's far more complicated than what you see on-site. One small part of that job is you have to ensure every team has as close to the same number of fights as possible, and that every fighter on the team gets close to the same number of fights. The second part is where team-size keeps teams down. If I have 5 amazing fighters, and 5 shit fighters, my team sits at 50% win percentage. I will make the GP. Especially if those amazing fighters win tournmanets and therfore get more fights. But if I have 5 amazing fighters and 11 shit fighters, my win percentage goes down to about 30%. That's the simple part. The more complex part is this: I balance the number of fights per fighter per team as best as I can. So before your best fighter gets his second fight, I try to make sure everyone on your team gets thier first. Because of that, your best fighter might fight less often, thus get your team less wins. This could not be more obvious than on xx - Former Phoenix Fight Club's team. Dominick Cruz did not have many fights this season. He had to split that time with guys like Ryan Bader, Keith Jardine, Deanna Bennett, Jason MacDonald, Charmaine Tweet, Mike Brown - all of these people had losing records. If none of them were on PHX's team, Cruz would have more fights, Alexis Davis would have more fights, Brock might have an extra fight - all of those meh-project fighters (some have had major work, some have had pretty much none), take fights away from the best guys. I am not telling PHX how to run his team - if he, like me, is happy with a team of good guys and a lot of crap guys, thats fine. I get that, but because of booking, it DEFINITELY has a direct affect on how often your best guys fight, and, if your "project" fighters are not upgraded (or upgraded poorly), it has a negative effect on your team's standings. Again, that is not something I can fix.
