Didn't get much time to negotiate any offers nor were there really many offers made. And really... If Askren was so fantastic, the good offers should have been pouring in, and they weren't. It was no secret that I was willing to move the pick. Everyone that offered, either offered me nothing I wanted or offered shit all for it. I didn't want Askren... Period. And no one made a good offer for it. |

It was no secret that I was willing to move the pick. Everyone that offered, either offered me nothing I wanted or offered shit all for it. I didn't want Askren... Period. And no one made a good offer for it. I donno, it only took Mike about 30 minutes to trade him for 10 points, then it only took me about a day to trade him for 15 points (and most of THAT time was me deciding if I wanted to trade him at all). You knew nearly a month ago your team was last (hence you had first pick), and you knew for sure you had the 1st overall pick 2 full days before the draft even opened. 2 other teams moved him in half that time. Not to mention, you posted no trade block. I think this is one of those cases you need to just bite the bullet and accept some responsibility for your own error instead of continuing to harp on this "no time" nonsense. |

Why should I be expected to make an offer when you're the one wanting something? @ The Sandmen: I didn't have a month. It was like a week or 2... So STFU. If 2 other teams achieved 2 trades in 2 days, you could have made a whopping 14 trades in those 2 weeks. 2) The pick WAS that valuable, and DID fetch 10 points and a fighter, then 15 points and a fighter, lol. Market proved its value. 3) Post a trade block. GAP did 2 trades in a few hours because...you guessed it. HE POSTED A TRADE BLOCK. If you check our convo histories, you will see how pissy you get when I just inquire about someone. I probably would have offered you 5-7 points for your pick, but since I had no idea you were trading it, I didn't. If you posted a trade block, I would have made an offer. But it's all good. As we keep saying, it worked out great for everyone. You are happy with your 2 points, Mike is happy with his 10, and I am happy with my 15. Win-win-win. Nothing to bitch about. |

So really, the only person unhappy about this whole thing is The Texas Rattlesnakes, who had hoped to use Askren to get Franklin, then pick Askren back up for free at the draft. That'll teach him to hope to be shady. |
