DM: Our heroes advance (WITHOUT FLASHLIGHTS) quickly down the hallway, and while they expected the narrow tunnel to get smaller, it did the opposite. Soon, their steps were less of a smacking sound with the salty water below. Instead, it turned into full blown puddles, inches deep.
They reached the end of the tunnel and felt something unexpected blocking their path - a concrete half wall.

JIF DM: Jif looks around and scrambles with his hands until he locates something on the halfwall - a torch, and it is dry. He picks it up. Suddenly, there is a noise, and a flame spontaneously appears in front of our heroes. It floats in the air like an orb. Jif reaches forward with the torch and ignites it. The flame backs away, and a voice is heard. Dear native Brook! wild Streamlet of the West! How many various-fated years have past, What happy and what mournful hours, since last I skimm’d the smooth thin stone along thy breast, Numbering its light leaps! yet so deep imprest Sink the sweet scenes of childhood, that mine eyes I never shut amid the sunny ray, But straight with all their tints thy waters rise, Thy crossing plank, thy marge with willows grey, And bedded sand that vein’d with various dyes Gleam’d through thy bright transparence! On my way, Visions of Childhood! oft have ye beguil’d Lone manhood’s cares, yet waking fondest sighs: Ah! that once more I were a careless Child!

Albert: What is that even supposed to mean? DM: Perhaps you should compare that text to something you did earlier in the game?

Albert: What floats will sink. What sinks is gone forever. What is gone forever will cause pain.
What floats can sink. If it doesn't sink, it can be used. If it can be used, pain will be avoided.

DM: The flame reappears and shines brighter and brighter, lighting the room around it. Suddenly, our heroes understand where the water has come from. They stand on one side of a stone wall, with water on the other side, and a platform that extends across a dock. The river seems to go on forever, but the water remains still and calm.

*Oliver searches for any rocks or pebbles or anything he could throw. If he finds it, he tosses something into the river.* DM: Oliver searches for a rock and finds one. He hops on top of the dock and stares at the still water. He looks for approval from his comrades behind them, but they only stare. Oliver smirks and nods. This is his moment. He pulls back his hand and angles the rock to face the flat side down, and launches it. The rock skips across the water like a graceful rock skipping across water. Oliver: "Skippity pippity." He turns back to the others and nods again, but they are unimpressed, it seems, for they stare beyond Oliver, who has now begun to pose as future Heisman trophy winners, which do not exist for at least a hundred years. A crazy coincidence, some future historians will recount. Instead, our heroes look at the water. Oliver turns back to see that the stone, which skipped so mightily across the water, causing few, if any, ripples, now sits atop the water in the distance. The ripples have almost immediately calmed and the water has returned to its eerily still state. Oliver: "What the funk? That rocks un-sunk!"

*Oliver poses like a diver on a swim team and dives into the water. However, Oliver doesn't know what a diver on a swim team looks like, so this pose is up for interpretation.*
