If you are unhappy with Brock, I have offered to give you 6 points for him several times. But you keep saying no, thus moot-ing your entire argument.

If you are unhappy with Brock, I have offered to give you 6 points for him several times. But you keep saying no, thus moot-ing your entire argument. I never once said I was unhappy with Brock... all I've ever said ever since that deal was that deal was NOT a charity deal at all. Especially when you consider the actual charity deals that have gone down since Bulldozers arrived: To: GrappleMuch? Jake Shields To: Conquistadors Nothing
To: Bullies Randy CoutureTo: Rocketman Nothing
To: Rocketman Demetrious Johnson Frank Shamrock Hisae Watanabe To: Bulldozers Mark Coleman Marloes Coenen
To: Bullies B.J. Penn Kazushi Sakuraba To: Conquistadors Ross Pearson Gegard Mousasi But what effectively worked out to 5 points for Brock was a "charity deal"?! I don't think so; not by a long shot compared to those deals anyways. I look at that and I see I got MAYBE a 1 point discount, if at all. So don't expect to change my mind on that or on the idea of the expansion draft based on that cuz when I look at that, I don't see that I really got any charity at all other than maybe getting the fighter I wanted, but that's still not a charity deal compared to those other deals we've seen. So what do I have to pay forward? The answer is nothing at this point, other than giving a bit of a discount to new teams I'm trading with, which I've already said I'm prepared to do.

I liked Brock and wanted to keep him, but you really wanted him, so I gave him to you.
As for the trades you posted above, I guess that just shows that reputation and how you treat others might actually impact the level of charity you are offered, lol.
Also, you argue on one hand your team is terrible so you should get more points, then you argue on the other that your team is great because you built it that way and anyone can do it, including brand new teams.
Now this side-topic is really over. This isn't "The Kruze Show", this is about possible new teams and what they have available to them. Does anyone else have anything to add, subtract, multiply RE: the expansion draft?
My main problem with expansion draft, from an administrative perspective, is it's a huge pain in the ass. I think this is a lose-lose situation and it looks like we will have to continue to reply on charity and back room bribes to get talent dispersed here if/when new teams arrive. Hopefully it doesn't push away any new members.

I think this is a lose-lose situation and it looks like we will have to continue to reply on charity and back room bribes to get talent dispersed here if/when new teams arrive. Hopefully it doesn't push away any new members. You gave him to me, for virtually regular price, but by no means was it a charity deal as we've seen from other so-called charity deals. That's all I'm saying but I'm sure you're correct in saying reputation does have something to do with the level of charity, and that's fine, but there's no way in hell that Brock deal was much of a charity deal, if at all based on the price you had me pay for him. lol There's no way around that. And no, what I said was my team was eons behind other teams on the site now because I've been over-restricted and limited on the number of points I've been allowed to generate with my PPP the last 3-4 seasons, which was too long and my team is feeling the brunt of it. I like my fighters and that is great. What hasn't been great is not being able to upgrade them as efficiently as everyone else on the site due to lack of points. Anyone can do it, especially new teams... that's correct... because I'm 100% certain a new team isn't going to be starting off at 75-100 PPP, hell probably not even 50 PPP. lol New teams still have that advantage with the new PPP scale coming in next season, which is fine... that's atleast as it should cuz they have more work ahead of them to upgrade their fighters than those of us veterans that have been here for many seasons. I don't know what kind of pain in the ass it's going to be on your end because I rarely ran into any of the problems you've suggested to me with the simulator when I was simming the ML, if at all. Plus, I think you do things differently and a little more complicated with ManMMA as oppose to what I was doing with the ML as well with the fight teams, organizations, etc. so I won't even hazard a guess and just take your word for that. I do think you're right that the expansion draft is a lose-lose situation, for different reasons obiously, but I do agree with that.

I think the expansion draft is necessary when/if we get new members. Why don't we wait till then to worry at it.

Worrying about it later though? I think it will be more hassle than it's worth if we wait til we get a new member. We'll see what the poll says though. I don't think I'm the only one against the expansion draft.

Yeha, it needs resolved now. It's either on the sign up page, or it's not. Once a new team signs up, if they choose that option, it's no longer up for debate.

Okay, so how's this:
We take out the Expansion draft option, and see what happens next time a new member joins. If there proves to be not enough resources for new teams to get involved in the site, we'll look at putting it back in after.

I say we give any new team 5-10 points so that they can either upgrade their drafted fighters or so that they can trade their fighters and picks for upgrades.

I'd have no problem with the expansion Route only if we got to keep 3 fighters from our team from being selected.

He means that since you have 100 fighters, that if it was everyone got to protect 3 fighters, you would still have 97 fighters available to be selected, while everyone else would have 4-7
