I apparently hate myself and read, see, watch horribly horrendous things literally daily. That stuff was bad, not the worst I've seen/read, but pretty god damn terrible. If you want to know horrible things, I will share, but I will not offer up information to those who do not want to stumble across the awful.

Lol. I remember after reading one of the articles I told my religion teacher about it (Jonestown was a cult so it had to do with religion) and then he told the whole class everything and I think everybody hated me for like a week after that.

Jonestown and other cult-actions are absolutely fascinating to me. Particularly social psychology. It's amazing what completely average human beings such as you or I could be manipulated into doing, without even a single thing being said, just the mere social implication of a situation or action. I would love to go back to pre-ethics times and develop and conduct a shit-ton of social psychology experiments.

There's so many things I want to say about this. I will reply to this in about two hours and it may spur another discussion that I find fascinating.
In case I forget what I was going to write I will give myself these word hints: place in russia cut off from world. Joe Rogan podcast of new discovery of hidden society.

Alright here we go: www.google.ca/search?q=sentinelese&client=firefox-a&hs=liz&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=Wqb8U9zRONH7oQSXn4Bo&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=657That link is a google images search of the Sentinelese people in Africa. A quick background: The Sentinelese (also Sentineli, Senteneli, Sentenelese, North Sentinel Islanders) are an indigenous people of the Andaman Islands of India in the Bay of Bengal. They inhabit North Sentinel Island, which lies westward off the southern tip of the Great Andaman archipelago. They are noted for resisting attempts at contact by outsiders. The Sentinelese maintain an essentially hunter-gatherer society subsisting through hunting, fishing, and collecting wild plants. There is no evidence of either agricultural practices or methods of producing fire. Their language remains unknown. More info for those curious: www.neatorama.com/2013/07/08/The-Forbidden-Island/#!bKud6j Gives a good story of their history. Anyways, the reason I bring this up is that we know of their existence, but there has been little attempt at invasion. This is sort of important to what I want to discuss: The Influence of Our Society on a Newly Discovered People It was discussed on Joe Rogan's podcast, and now I find the theory of this to be positively intriguing. Should we manage to all of a sudden discover a new populace, one we have never seen before, will our knowledge of them suddenly disrupt, corrupt or influence their lives? For instance, if we set up cameras just to study them, would the recognition that there are suddenly cameras (despite this peoples inability to know what a camera is) dissuade them from continuing their natural life? It begs to question whether anything can truly be observed uncontaminated because of even the vaguest engagement with the the subject. I wonder if this should ever happen if it is better to study them immediately, go in and research it with hands on aggression, or to completely ignore it. How do you study something without affecting it and thus ultimately altering it in some way? Thoughts?
