Hate leads to violence. It solves nothing. Plus, as we keep telling you, you are hating an entire race of people. That would be like an Israeli housewife who lost her husband hating you for the terrorist actions of Hamas.

He, and every member of this site, has the right to post whatever the fuck they want in the chat portions of this site. Fight results, fights, or administrative boards - different matter. It was in extremely poor taste, unprovoked and uncalled for. If folks would refrain from being assholes just for the sake of being one, that's what solves the problem. Wrong. When someone self-identifies as an anti-Semitic racist on Proboards, it's technically my job to ban them outright and report them to Proboards for possible removal of all thier Proboards accounts. Read the terms of service - it actually is my responsibility to do that. But I let our members handle it, and ridiculing a racist for being a racist is the right thing to do. I am not telling a single member of this site to stop belittling a racist. No one forced the kid to tell the internet he "hates Jews". If he said he hated blacks, you would not be so defensive of him. I have no patience or tolerance for this shit outside of letting him stick around. But I am not going to sit here and tell a racist they have the right to be shielded from the backlash of their racism. It's that simple. Now, ironically, outside of the racist shit, I actually like Joubran. I don't want the kid to end up beheaded at his work place because of shit like this. There are enough excuses for hate and violence in this world without adding ignorance and blind-hate to them. This is why I really hope he will listen to some of Mike's advice, think beyond the short-sighted brainwashing that's taken place here and really listen to the advice of objective third party members of this site. We really are trying to help. People telling you you are justified in hating Jews is like people telling the Klan they are justified in hating blacks. It's simply not objective, rational, or even correct in any way shape of form. On this forum, no... I really haven't seen Joubran say much of anything about the Israelis other than this thread cuz he was provoked by Cannon. At GMX? Sure... once. I was there for that, but ever since then, he's kept his views to himself. I don't defend his stance on it, but what I do defend him on is the fact that he was attacked for no reason other than Cannon knows his views on this issue and was looking to pick a fight. Just as you have no patience or tolerance for the racism end, as we all should none for it, I don't have any patience or tolerance for folks that go out of their way to be dickheads, then when asked to stop, they don't... which is, in fact, one of your rules here at ManMMA. It's not like Joubran was going around spewing racial slurs, posting racist propaganda or flying the Nazi flag anywhere. The fact is that he's obviously of Middle Eastern decent and hates what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians over there... and I don't blame him for that; I don't like it either. I think that their government is a bunch of assholes that have false sense of entitlement and are still play on the sympathies of what happened to them at the hands of the Nazis 50 years ago. The holocaust was a terrible thing and a huge black mark on humanity, but if you're going to sit there and say that the North American natives should be over what happened to them, why should we feel any sympathy for the Israelis anymore either? Just because they're pro-dominantly a Jewish nation doesn't give them the right to be assholes and effectively want do to the Palestinians now what the Nazis did to the Jews in WWII. How is one right and the other wrong? They're not... they're both wrong. So, TBH, from that standpoint, I think that Joubran's "I hate Jews" comment was taken out of context; which he further explained earlier in this thread and I accept that cuz I, personally, don't think the Israelis are, in any way, in the right in this dispute at all and he doesn't deserve to be ridiculed for it either. |

Yah, this is the basic idea, just because it's not their entire race that's causing all this shit, it's their government. I mean, I get what you're saying, but wording it differently can go a long way sometimes in terms of getting your message across. I don't hate the Israeli people, and I think that war is one of the stupidest things going on right now. I figure both are there now... just divide the land evenly and be done with it, but neither side is willing to do that because they figure they have the right to all of it. It's pretty sad. It is not bullying when someone stands up against racism. It's what everyone should do, really. It is bullying when it's unprovoked and you're asked to stop but you don't. I love how you're hiding behind the race card here too in trying to defend Cannon for this when Jews aren't a race of people; being a individual of the Jewish faith is a religious practice. lol |
