Cool. When you do, also post other stuff from your general DVD or Blu Ray collection that you really like, and why.

I don't buy movies, but I do buy books. I just added 8 "series of unfortunate events" books to my collection cause I got 'em for $1 each and I've been looking for a good deal on them for a long time. I'm really hoping my kid likes to read, as I've got some stuff that I think is awesomely life changing- books can make you actually change HOW you think. Also, my kid can now read the words that pop up in movies and shows, like '3 hours later' and it makes me strangely happy.

My kid likes movies and wanted to watch The Shining the other day. Our kids should be friends. Your kid can read to mine, and mine can tell yours about scary movies she is not old enough to see.

I'm in the same boat, so yes, I suppose I am looking forward to the series. Kinda one of those "meh, cool" until its there, but once its there I'll be excited to watch it, I'm sure.

Holy shit, me too! I got mine for Mike's wedding as a prop because I forgot my original gun at home and it was a 5-6 hour drive.

I was the last to comment here... ah well. I was asked about some neat things that I might own. My wife and I went to the 400 market two weekends ago and got this neat metal skull on a shield with two swords going through it. It's about a foot and a half wide, and the swords are real and very freaking sharp.
I also have this cool collage portrait of all the important gangsters in film history. We have 14 minimalistic metal movie posters, a miniature shark head statue in honor of jaws, a neat french shoe statue in honor of Les Mis, and a kit cat clock, because it is awesome.

That's awesome. I have Baby, and now Big Baby. They are those babies...that look like babies dressed up as shit. Both are the same one, named Baby, but one is bigger. The small one, used in several films, is severely disabled. I think most of my cool shit is movies though. I have a limited edition of Suspiria that is a real limited edition (numbered and everything). OH, and I mentioned this on a hockey site, but I have a puck that I got signed by Henri and Maurice Richard. Henri signed first, and Maurice just kinda lazily smudged his hand through Henri's signature. So I have a puck signed by Maurice Richard with a Maurice-induced smear over about 15% of Henri's signature. I like the anecdote better than if the autographs were perfect Makes me remember things happily.
