It was. 3 is still amazing. Especially with all the expansions and shit. I have not played 4 and may never. I heard EA took that and SimCity and turned them both to shit. But then again, "I heard" is not a very reliable source, so who knows.

Quick pre-ManMMA-sim story - I planned on simming Wednesday, but my daughter wanted to watch a horror flick, so we put on Clive Barker's Nightbreed, and though I found it acceptable for her age and maturity (despite being a film for adults, obviously), it still required parental guidance. So we did that Wednesday. I think it went well, and I think next we might be ready for a full-blown slasher flick. Ideally without sex and particularly sexual violence. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you can die in all of them. You have to murder your person in Sims 1 (put them in a swimming pool and take away the ladder, put them in a room with a stove and take away the doors until they start a fire and burn to death).

In Sims 3, you can set life spans. They can be short or infinite. In Sims 3 when someone dies, they turn into a tombstone or urn, and the ghost haunts the residence.
