I said yesterday "no matter who wins the election, if the Jays win, it will soften the blow." But for me, yesterday was a good, good day.

end of an era for Harper. Was in power for all my teenage years ,but I'm kinda baffled by how liberals got a majority government with only 38% of the vote .
Let's see if everyone will be pro liberals in 4 years lmao . I know for sure part of lower mainland , Alberta , Saskatchewan and parts of Manitoba will remain the same

I don't think people were pro-Liberals as much as anti-Harper.

Some ndp voters I think switched to liberals when they saw ndp dropped in polls... So they knew liberals needed the votes to kick Harper out.... Way to go Harper unite the country in hatred of you.

Not this recent NDP voter that voted Liberal. lol It wasn't an NDP drop in the polls that got me to vote Liberal this time. For me it literally came down to more confidence in Trudeau and his platform than in Mulcair and his or May and hers. Also Trudeau's youth factor played into it for me as well. Fresh eyes; new way of thinking. The old way doesn't work anymore... and that's what we would've gotten with Mulcair, May or Harper again.

Agreed. I think that the whole "he's just not ready" was a weird reverse ageism thing, and it pissed me off, especially considering that Harper was around Trudeau's current age when he was made prime minister, so the conservatives can eat shit.
