ManMMA turned 4 years old last week. What do you guys want to do for celebration? We could do points, but that might be boring. Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? I racked my brain for the last 2 weeks and didn't really come up with anything better.

What if, to celebrate, we did a neat little challenge card? Maybe not the next one, but let's say card 310 - 3+1=4 type thing, so it's like the "4" year card.
Anyways, something like this:
The primary build of the card is as per usual - the tournament format, the title belts, etc.
But we take everyone's grand prix submissions maybe (so it's already compiled) and we do a little faceoff based on current win percentages. So, there's 12 active teams, so there's six fights, 2 per each male division (HW, MW, LW).
It would be like two highest win percentages for HW fight. Then the next 2. Same for MW and LW, but no team is repeated. 1 Fighter each. We don't worry about the F division for simplicity sake.
Then, if you win your fight, you get 3 bonus points. If you lose, you get 2. So there's a bit of a gamble to it, and with the fighters being at comparable win percentages, it's a much closer odds-for-against on earning the extra point.
Thoughts?

Should the better teams really get more points?

Knockout's suggestion had actually occurred to me before I posted this, so I would be cool with that something along those lines. Takes big balls to stick with any site for 4 years, let alone sign up for an MMA site of all things, in 2012, and still be there in 2016.

Both KO's & Rocketman's suggestions are interesting. I'm ok with either, though there was one thing that we did for the first 2 seasons I was here (3 & 4) that we dropped and that was the Graplemania cards. I like the tournament idea, perhaps something combining both KO's & Rocketman's suggestions would be fun. Otherwise the gift points themselves would be nice. Happy Birthday ManMMA.

I don't hate Rocketmen's suggestion, but I have to admit that with the new booking system, it would make things very difficult, especially now. The other thing is, unless we randomized the fights, there really isn't anything objective I can go on when booking those fights to make them fair. Guys like Jake Shields have been heavily upgraded but I have no idea where he sits now. Or guys like Bas with meh records and belts, that sort of thing. The using GP rosters - when you take tournaments and title fighters out of the mix - are a bit bare. The points thing is the cleanest, though not really the most exciting. Any other ideas that might require minimal work but maximum fun?

Could easily have a super GP format including champions to make it more exciting, you just run the risk of a champion getting injured is the only thing.

do I count as a founding memb er??? Sandmen considers the founding members of ManMMA to be those who's date registered is January 20th, 2012. There were 7 founding members. 3 have moved on. 4 remain. We lost Ramrod, Grapplemuch?, and Tapout. Only Sandmen, Rocketmen (Then Hammerfists), West Coast Knockouts, and Broad Street Bullies are left. We are the 4 remaining founding fathers of ManMMA.
