Part 1: So we have a season of ManNXT under our belts. What did you guys think? Love, hate, other? Did it have any affect on your draft decisions? Please leave us some feedback below. As much as you can, so we can improve. Part 2: Do you want to do it again this year? If so, I'm proposing this (if The Rocketmen is on board): - 4 weight classes (FF, LW, MW, HW), - 8 fighters per weight class - first card or 2 is a tournament to determine ManNXT champions; rest of the season is title fights/defences - no teams - you still predict on winners, and you still get NXT points for getting predictions right, which you can use ot upgrade anyone. - 1 weight class per card Part 3: Do you want to do this? Do you have feedback, criticism, concerns, complaints? Part 4: If you want a ManNXT this season, throw a list of fighters at me here in this thread that you would like to see participate in ManNXT Season 2. Thank you for your feedback!

ManNXT Season 2 list should be every free agent and any undrafted NXT fighter.

How about we can make our own ManNXT teams and once the season is over we can decide if we want anybody from our team and if not they become available to everybody else.

ManNXT Season 2 list should be every free agent and any undrafted NXT fighter. That'll give us more than 8 per weight class, but it will also drain our FA pool. The FA pool is not popular, but I kinda like having it around, even in a diminished form, so if people want to make a mid-season change-up, it's still technically available to them. Also gives cut fighters a door to re-entering the league mid-season and stuff too. How about we can make our own ManNXT teams and once the season is over we can decide if we want anybody from our team and if not they become available to everybody else. Too many problems waiting to happen. Like if more than 1 person wants the same fighter(s) on their team, etc. The core point of ManNXT is to basically have a season of "scouting" before a draft. Pre-claiming people before a draft kinda defeats the whole purpose of that.

We could hold a draw to figure out who drafts first and stuff. I'd just prefer to use my NXT points to upgrade a fighter that I know will be on my team.

I like the idea. 4 divisions, random draw for teams.

If you have a nxt team... you should be able to save one fighter from being drafted. Gives you a chance to see that fighter fight more in nxt before you draft them and it helps you to ensure you can draft him.

I am replying because it is REQUIRED, but I'm afraid I don't have much to add to the NXT discussion as I don't really follow it- I think its a good way to figure out who to draft, but I don't draft very often, so I don't find myself following NXT.

I am 100% against pre-owning any ManNXT fighters prior to our proper Season drafts. ManNXT is a chance to see someone's potential leading into the draft. It is everyone's chance to scout. It is not a place to pre-draft anyone or own prorpietary rights before the draft. That would be like the Edmonton Oilers pre-claiming Auston Matthews before the NHL draft, so Toronto had to pick someone else. At that point, what is the point of having a draft? The point of a draft is letting the bad teams get first pick. If all of the best fighters are pre-drafted, there is 100% no point to even having a draft.

Yes but Edmonton doesn't give Matthews tips and tricks to improve his game unlike we do here. I would rather know I have first choice at my fighters than everybody else. Otherwise there is no point in NXT points because you're upgrading a fighter for somebody else.

Yes but Edmonton doesn't give Matthews tips and tricks to improve his game unlike we do here. Exactly this happened when Todd McLellan coached Auston Matthews at the World Cup. Or any minor league coaches a prospect has coming up from the juniors into the big leagues. And to reiterate, you don't HAVE to spend any points you earn from predictions. It's just another avenue for that fighter to be better if you get them.

i use it when drafting I don't care whats done with it as long as its not stupid. and I don really think guys should get to have guys before draft. as a bottom team id rather be able to have guys I can draft at the draft then have everyones nxt guys locked up before the draft. then whats the point??? what if all my nxt guys turn into busts nd I like someone like cannon had on nxt but I pick first and I can only pick my guys whats the point of even picking at the draft when it doesn matter anymore cause cannon already has all the good guys set on his team in stone whether he wants them or not. don't do that

I said they get the first choice. An example is I had Mark Hunt. I could either keep him or let him go. If I let him go he goes into the draft and a bottom team can grab him.

Exactly, but you still get to hold onto him, meaning the bottom-placed team has no shot at claiming him, even if you are the 1st place team. It's like the Pittsburgh Penguins having the ability to lock up McDavid, Matthews, and Laine for no reason other than #JustCuz. We need the draft so the bottom teams can get better, and part of me likes having ManNXT to help teams see who is actually better than whom (prospect-wise). Otherwise it's just a crap-shoot, which doesn't help bottom teams at all.
