What I am saying though, is use the NXT points on the fighters you drafted and only the fighters you drafted, nobody else.

They are not intended to make YOUR guys better. That is what ManMMA points are for. They are a way keep ManNXT fresh. |

No, I think this season NXT points will have to be used before the final NXT event of the season. After that, there is literally no point in them existing, other than to try to cheat and upgrade guys you think you can draft.

Well what happens if everyone just loads up on one fighter and caps the fuck out of him? Then someone is going to get this super good fighter, and then that was just a waste of all the NXT points.

The team that would be in most need of a super good fighter. and then that was just a waste of all the NXT points. Incorrect, since the purpose of points is making a fighter better, and that end-goal will still be achieved. And you don't even HAVE to spend any NXT points you earn. If you CHOOSE to upgrade someone, cool. If you are deathly concerned about upgrading someone that someone else might draft, you can spend your points on nothing and have them disappear at the end of the season. |

did people not like nxt? i would've expected there to be more support here, especially with the new structure laid out considering most draft picks were specifically nxt prospects...?

This occurred to me as well. But I mean...I guess 3 pages of discussion counts as caring about it to some extent. I'm just not willing to lock fighters to a team before they are drafted, nor use NXT points to ensure your pick has an advantage over others. The point of the draft is the weaker teams get stronger. Anything else here feels to me like attempts to circumvent that, and at that point, for me, ManNXT becomes broken. |

It needs to operate like the NHL but with performance boosters along the way for the prospects that you might want to see succeed on the site, regardless of what team they go to.
I feel that the draft is kind of broken if we don't continue with this and continue to develop fighters that didn't get attention that should have, making them enticing to weaker teams to draft and improve their team's performance. Too many solid faces that aren't drafted.

Was kinda still hoping to hear from people. We've heard suggestions for change, which is typically good (even though we cannot accommodate them this season). So I guess I'm still waiting for either support, dissent, or indifference. Since this thread is dead, I might post a poll in a little bit outlining the plan and just giving people a "yes, lets do that" or "No, scrap ManNXT" option type thing.
