Everybody has a shot at them. You draft them now. So you can end up with a Matthews or a McDavid or you can end up with a Daigle. It adds some risk and excitement.

Dont even assign teams.... the NXT points you make are stored until the draft? Then you put them into the fighters you draft.... anyone who didn't get drafted is in NXT. People that decide not to draft just put their points into fighters before the draft.

It's not like McDavid or Daigle though. It's like you might get lucky and have 4 first overall picks, or you might get unlucky and have five 9th round picks.
If you like risk and excitement, you can upgrade the guys you like and hope you get a shot to draft them come draft time. Or pay a good price to the last-place team to get their draft spot. I still don't see the logic of ditching a time-tested system like a basic entry draft for a randomly-generated "first come first serve" guessing game, and making it all about luck.

Dont even assign teams.... I mentioned this as a proposed change for Season 2, in the very first post of this thread.

That they should be used before the draft

I kind of see the point of applying points prior to the draft. It stops people from immediately havingpoints to upgrade someone they just drafted. That said, if you draft them, you can't use your NXT points to upgrade them because those points are specific to NXT.

I think the NXT Points should carry over because you earned the points. . . why should you have to risk putting them into someone else's fighter. . . that defeats the purpose of you actually earning points, then nxt points should just be given once a week in my opinion.

I think the NXT Points should carry over because you earned the points. . . why should you have to risk putting them into someone else's fighter. . . that defeats the purpose of you actually earning points, then nxt points should just be given once a week in my opinion. It all comes down to the PURPOSE of ManNXT. The purpose is strictly and solely to get a preview of some ManMMA-worthy fighters before the draft. The points are a bonus way to keep people engaged, and to create a shifting dynamic over the ManNXT season. The points are not meant to help you in ManNXT, they are meant to help develop rookies/ManMMA prospects, so that when the draft comes along, there is an interesting pool of talent to draw from. Being able to upgrade ManNXT fighters is entirely a bonus to ManNXT. They are not your points, the same way your ManMMA points are. They are ManNXT prospect points for, as I said, stopping ManNXT from becoming stagnant over a season, and keeping the shifting dynamic of prospects alive.
