I decided to go the route of a weighted auction in order to best, and most fairly distribute Ferocity's fighters. More on that later. For now, here arethe details about how this will happen, because this auction will be a little bit different.
Part 1: The Unusual Stuff
1) First, you will NOT get your new fighter this season. They will remain on Ferocity's team until the end of the Grand Prix. Any fighters you bid will also remain on your team for the rest of the season. The official moves will be done after the Grand Prix, before the Draft starts. Then, and only then, do newly acquired fighters become officially yours. I said this before, but I want to reiterate - this is unusual, but the reason we are doing it this way is because I need this resolved BEFORE the draft, but do not want to deal with it between Grand Prix and Draft. Too busy, and too much going on. Will cause too many delays, etc.
2) There will be one round of auction. You make your bid, and once the auctions are closed and finalized, any fighters given up via a winning bid will be entered into the draft.
3) There is an outside chance that, if the bids are incredibly good, I MIGHT add a second round to the auction before the draft, but it is very unlikely. Since bidding is unpredictable, I just want to leave that door open so people are not blind-sided if we have to go that route. It will likely only be done if a lot of game-changers are included in the fighters released via winning bid.
4) After the auction, I am also opening the door to discuss the possibility of a lottery draft for the top pick(s), if the top draft pick(s) is/are of game-changing calibre.
Part 2: The Usual Stuff (for you people who have been here for a while and experienced auctions before).
The following fighters are being auctioned off:
Hiroko Yamanaka (52-38) BW
Raquel Pennington (2-4) BW
Tara LaRosa (35-35-1) FW
Ayaka Hamasaki (5-13) FW
Claudia Gadelha (11-11) FW
Kimbo Slice (43-39) HW
Matt Serra (14-28) LW
Yves Edwards (40-37) LW
Joachim Hansen (52-23) LW
Josh Koscheck (56-34) MW
Chris Leben (39-32) MW
Rich Franklin (53-37) MW
Your current roster, and (mostly) updated records can be found here.
Reminder on how this will work. If you are interested in someone, post a proposed one-for-one trade offering the best fighter you are willing to trade for that Ferocity fighter. The team that offers the best one-for-one offer will be able to complete the trade and get the fighter. You may bid several times (like an auction) for the same fighter if you are outbid. If you are outbid, you MUST make a new post though; do not edit your previous post.
Part 3: Nutshell Reminder of how Regular Fighter Auctions work
- I'm including this section so that all bases are covered, but I think every fighter in this auction will be considered a "game-changer", perhaps other than Hamasaki and Pennington. We will see. Anyways, for the most part, this section isn't relevant. See the "game-changers" info in Part 4 below for a more accurate idea of what is going on here.
- Quality of bid is usually pretty obvious, but if a determining factor needs to be taken into consideration, win percentage is the main one, most recent performances being another. If fighters have less than like, 8 fights more factors will be considered, but these have never been complex in the past.
- You CAN successfully claim more than 1 fighter if no one else puts a claim in on your secondary claim. I.E. If Cannon wins Slice, and no one puts another bid in on either Serra or Hansen but he does, he can take them as well. If other bids are in (even if his secondary bid is better), the other team gets them. If 2 teams have secondary claims on the same fighter, it goes to best bid, and so on, and so on.
- After close, all fighters will be assigned to teams and released fighters will be released. Regular first-come, first-served claim/release procedures then follow.
Part 4: The "Game-Changers"
- If the game-changers have multiple teams bidding, at close those teams with competing bids will be put into a randomized lottery draw to determine who gets the winning bid.
- Lottery modifiers such as team record will add to lottery odds, so that terrible teams have a slightly better chance of winning the auction - much like the NHL Lottery each year.
- Quality of your bid is also a large factor, so don't stop bidding on game changers if there are multiple teams bidding. If you bid a 20-5, and they bid a 7-17, you will have a notably better chance of winning the lottery. A fighter's rank and number of upgrades are also taken into account, since records can sometimes be decieving.
- Regardless of the draw, 1 team will not get all game-changer fighters (unless there insufficient bids, then the randomization will continue), so if you want to bid on more than one, please make it clear which one of them you would prefer should a draw come about so you don't get your second choice over your first.
- Wins/bids on anyone other than the game-changers will NOT be taken into account when determining the game-changer wins if it comes to a lottery draw. Meaning if you have the highest bid on Raquel Pennington, that will not be used against you if a Game-Changer Lottery is needed for a different fighter.
Part 5: Confused?
I'm sure you are. It's not that bad. Here are a bunch of examples of past auctions, so you can see the process in action.

With all the info I had to create anew and combine with other info that is 5 years old, I am sure there are errors, omissions, or small didbits of confusing remnants in here. If you are still confused, have further questions, comments, or concerns, post them below or PM me.
You may now begin. To avoid timezone advantages, circumstances of luck or last minute scam-bids, the auctions will close randomly, at some point in the future. All I will say is you will have at least 48 hours, and likely more. But don't bank on it. Bid early, bid big, bid often, and lets do this thing!
Good luck, everyone.
P.S. You bid for fighters here below, in this thread. I don't know if I mentioned that above
March 26 Edit: You may bid the same fighter on multiple fighters, but you must put the fighter who is bid multiple times in bold. If you bid a fighter 3 days ago, and you want to add a second bid of that fighter for an additional fighter, please quote or re-post the original bid in your new bid as well.
The take-away here is I want to see, with a simple glance that you have bid the same fighter twice. I do not want people to see a fighter in a particular bid and assume they cannot beat that bid, and not place their own bid, only to find out later that the bid-fighter was offered for someone else as well.
Moral: All bids OF the same fighter for different fighters MUST be a) bolded, and b) in ONE post.
