but when i feel like my opinion isnt being heard and people dont respect each others opinion whether they agree or not is where i have an issue... just saying... anyways back to your discussion.... lol im thinking about what options we can come up with that might solve the issue.. Your opinions were heard, and respected (by me, I cannot speak for perpetual troll Cannon). I respect opinions, and encourage them. But that doesn't mean if a suggestion is not going to be what is best for the league that we should implement it. anyways back to your discussion.... lol im thinking about what options we can come up with that might solve the issue.. I agree. And I think the biggest gap we have in coming to an agreement here is that people like Cannon who invested BIG points into their women do not feel giving the OTHER 30 women free points, or an easier ride to the belt than they had, is fair. What solutions do we have for THAT problem?

Miscellaneous FAQ For the sake of keeping things competitive, a champion is considered maxed out when their overall is 5% higher than the next best fighter. A non-champion is considered maxed out when their overall is 10% higher than the current champion. This seems to be the rule we want to adjust, is it not? Would we be content lowering those numbers or something? 2.5% and 5%?

Apparently one solution is to not state someone's sexual preference in a comical retort to someone suggesting their fighter might be better than yours. Also, you know, popsicles.

Orientation. Not preference. If it was a preference, like your choice of ice cream at the mall, it would be okay. But in a world where people are literally murdered for being homosexuals (not a choice, or a preference), I have no sense of humour on that front.

Would we be content lowering those numbers or something? 2.5% and 5%? I would be willing to lower those numbers (and it actually affects ME- since it's my fighter being capped). I don't want no one to be able to beat Kaufman, but I would like it if people did recognize that a) When I joined there was no Women's division. I helped push hard for a women's division to exist in the first place. b)I have been working on Kaufman since the division opened. I chose a GOOD fighter to begin with- who you draft matters. Then I looked at all the divisions and decided where I had the most chance to make a champion, and then it too fucking forever- many many many seasons. I never bitched with any seriousness because when I beat Carano I was ecstatic. Look I want this to be competitive- I have Hiroko Yamanaka and she has the build to become one of the top 5 (or so I THINK). But I don't think it's magically going to start this season. The women's division needs patience not 'fixing'. Lower the cap numbers and build your fighters. Believe me, there are ways to beat Kaufman, and there are ways to beat Carano. Good luck!

Valid points. Since no one else replied in 24 hours, I'm to assume we don't like the proposed new cap either? And should stick with what we have for next season?

This is a discussion. Sometimes people have differing opinions in a discussion. It does not make it an argument. Well, in fairness... this was less of a discussion than it should have been. Not only because of Cannon's opening troll remark, but because you, yourself Sandman, already had it in your head that you were against this, despite your claims that you'd "let the league decide", fact is that you didn't. You were against it from the start, which honestly begs the question why you even wanted me to post this thread in the first place when the reality is that the 5-10 points, likely only 5-ish, would have enough impact to help even out a lopsided division, but not shit on the work that other teams have done with their fighters; hence why I'd call it more of a boost than a re-rate. A re-rate would be a complete overhaul of all the women. Here are the upgrades put into our women compiled from the Point Allocation Thread/Archive; keep in mind some of these are a bit of an estimated due deleted posts from season 5 & some upgrades being PM'd to Sandman early on in Season 4. Just as some food for thought and to show that there is a large gap here when you consider how little some have had compared to others.. Just some food for thought anyways. ** - Still considered a middle tier fighter * - Still considered a bottom tier fighterRousey = 49 **<---Though she's borderline top tier Carano = 36 Coenen = 27 **D'Alelio = 26 *<---Only 1 fight since attaining 26 points Davis = 18 **Kedzie = 14 *Carmouche = 13 *Zingano = 13 *Cyborg = 12 Fujii = 10 **Yamanaka = 8 **Eye = 7 *Gurgel = 6 **Kaufman = 6 Nakai = 5 **Honchak = 4 **Budd = 2 *Kheyfets = 0 *Baszler = 1 *M. Tate = 1 *Based on these numbers alone, this tells me that there is an extremely large gap between even the middle tier and top tier fighters, and fighters that should be top tier fighters like Coenen, Fujii & Nakai; Coene a little less so now it would seem due to recent points added, though it does go without saying that many of the "top" fighters already have had less upgrades, yet are still top fighters there with virtually no upgrades; Kaufman boggles me though. How she's top 2 with 6 upgrades is kinda crazy, though as I said, there was a brief time upgrades were PM'd to Sandman and not posted; these were the ones posted.

except those pm'd points MATTER. That's when most of my points when into Kaufman. Also, I put the points where it counted. I got lucky/she's an easy to read fighter with clear strengths.

I just checked my inbox. I have literally 2 pages of PMed upgrades. Give me some time and I will start posting them to update this list.
