@ The Rocketmen: The Oilers have Klefbom, who's very similar to Reilly in a lot of respects especially in terms of where they are in their development... and also Nurse started to emerge towards the end of the season, so I'm not too worried about the D in the sense that they have 2 potential #1 defenseman sitting there about to blossom. What they need is a right-hander to compliment them. With guys like Demers in play at free agency, I have no doubt the Oilers will get one that way or through trade. I'm comfortable with: Hall-Nuge-Drai/Kassian Maroon-McDavid-Eberle To be honest, I'd like to see them move Yakupov in a package to get another top right-handed defenseman since Sekera is capable of playing the right side, though I'm not completely sold that Sekera can play in the West all that well... he was great playing the Eastern style though for sure. |

He's just not built for the rugged style of the Western Conference. That's more over the reason why he's been struggling. |

I think Yakupov's inability to find consistency outside of when he played with MacDavid shows his struggle. They should definitely trade him, but who do you want them to target? Any people you have in mind that could help?

I'd prefer a right-hander, even though I like guys like Krug, Wiercioch, etc. but with Jones just being dealt to Columbus, I'm sure he's off the table... latest rumors I've been hearing is that Chiarelli's been seriously looking at Vatanen. For me personally, I'd rather see them go after a Barrie, a Trouba or a Dumba. Les question marks in terms of the physical game. IMO
