The fact that the Flames ended up with Tkachuk is beyond me lol.

And now the Leafs have a rivalry with the Sabres
Matthews - Eichel Marner - Reinhart Nylander - Nylander

I can't even say anything lol Canucks don't even have a cup and are stuck in limbo . Wish we had a Matthews or McDavid And you took Juolevi over Tkachuk Taking THE top defenseman in the draft is apparently a bad thing now?

We're a little closer to free agency, so now I think I can have a better prediction on these. Also added Jim Vesey but that won't be resolved intil August 15. PLAYER | WHERE HE WILL GO | STEVEN STAMKOS | Toronto/Detroit | LOUI ERIKSSON | Vancouver | MILAN LUCIC | Detroit | KYLE OKPOSO | Dallas | MIKKEL BOEDKER | Calgary | DAVID BACKES | Philadelphia | ANDREW LADD | Carolina | KEITH YANDLE | Signed | CAM WARD | Signed | DAN HAMHUIS | Detroit | JAMES REIMER | San Jose | ERIC STAAL | Carolina | DAVID PERRON | Arizona | LUKE SCHENN | Ottawa | JIM VESEY | Toronto/Boston |

Actually Dubois has been called the next Toews. I understand why Columbus did it considering how badly they need a centre. Lol at Edmonton grabbing another forward.
But yeah, Edmonton had a good draft, for once. I'm not too happy with the Leafs. I really wanted Alex DeBrincat and Tyler Parsons.

The Leafs picked more skill-centered players last year in the draft. This year, it was about size in the later rounds, which is the right thing to do. DeBrincat is one of those players where you can see the talent, but you can't see past the fact he's only 5'7. He's not going to be the next Parise, I don't see it.
The only pick that I don't like too much is at 92 with Adam Brooks. Sure, he scored 120 points with Regina, but aside from him and Sam Steel, Regina didn't have a whole lot to work with. He took advantage of a team that only had two real threats, and coming into the NHL or AHL next season, he's probably going to need to adjust into a role where he isn't that go-to guy. It can result in one of two things, adapting and thriving, or struggling and fizzling out.
Greenway and Middleton could be imposing defensemen if they can develop, but I'm also seeing their 6'4' statures. They could be busts, too.
I don't like talking about real-life NHL drafts all too much, because a TON of these players won't see any NHL ice for any forseeable future, so we can't say what's going to happen for later round prospects. NBA drafts are easier to determine, because there's only 60 players to analyze afterwards,

This is gonna be a remake of the 2009 draft where the Leafs only had their 1st round pick play regularly in the NHL.

xx - The Underdog Regime I might be wrong, but wasn't Brooks the kid that played D until like a year and a half ago and now he's become a pretty solid forward? Either way, the Leafs picks surprised me, and I have faith in Hunter. I'll reserve my opinion until much later. On the flip side... WE FUCKING STOLE KERBY RYCHEL.

I know for Harrington and a conditional 5th and the funniest thing is that the condition is that if Harrington is claimed off of waivers then the Leafs have to give up a 5th so the Leafs could claim Harrington then give up a 5th making the trade Kerby Rychel for a 5th.

Yes, that could theoretically happen, but it would completely ruin relationship with a team that took on David Clarkson lol I would never burn that bridge

They took on Clarkson cause they had to. The team couldn't afford to pay a player's (Horton) salary that wasn't playing. So they took Clarkson cause at least he is playing.
